Located at a distance of mere 5 km distance from Badrinath ,Mana is the last Indian Village located on India-China Border. Situated at a height of 3200 meters above sea level the village has a great significance for the Indians.
It is the last Village where the Pandava brothers from the Mahabharata are believed to have passed through before their final ascent to Heaven. It is said that Rishi Vyasa came hereto write the story of Mahabharata. Vyasa needed somebody who could write the story for him. On his Request Lord Ganesh agreed to write the this great epic for him.
Mana has a Ganesh Gufa(cave) as well as Vyasa Gufa which are separated by a mere distance of 200 meters .Next 6 km is walkable trek from Mana village to Vasudhara waterfall.The log inheight of this waterfall is 400 ft(122 mt).
The village offers amazing scenic beauty offering great picturesque mountains. Mana parbat stands at 7200 meters above sea level.
